Mayonnaise & Underplate Set-Queen Mary Pattern-Anchor Hocking Depression Glass

Description

Very nice mayonnaise or sauce bowl with matching underplate in the pretty Queen Mary pattern made by Anchor Hocking Glass Company between 1946 and 1949. It's a very nice pink color and the geometric lines of the pattern are very attractive. The bowl measures a hair over 2 and 3/4 inches tall and about 5 inches across at the top. The underplate is just under 6 inches across. Both items are in very good condition. Anchor Hocking made the Queen Mary pattern from 1936 until 1949 so it was a Hocking Glass pattern originally.
Anchor Hocking was formed in 1937 when several glass companies merged including Hocking Glass which originated in 1905. The company has been very successful and is one of the few American glass makers which has survived as it's still in business today,.
