    Description

"THE GRUNTS and VIETNAM: THE OTHER WAR" is a 2-in-1 volume covering Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines in Operation Virginia Ridge on April 29, 1969. It is all about the Marines who waged the ill-fated battle for Hill 174 in the "Z"--the Demilitarized Zone. It is a firsthand account by the author. The second book covers Da Nang and service and support troops stationed "in the rear with the beer". The rear was where most served during the war. It's a bawdy and sometimes hilarious scene from the author's personal experiences as an infantry officer!
Book is HARDBACK with DUSTJACKET published in 1982. It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, measures 5 3/4" x 8 1/2" and contains 424 pages.
