    Description

"13 CENT KILLERS--THE 5th MARINE SNIPERS IN VIETNAM" is the story of the 5th Marine Regiment Sniper Platoon in Vietnam. In 1967, a bullet cost 13 cents thus the title of this book. The author was a member of this Platoon and here is a detailed, raw account of what it was like on several missions. It's the story of young Marines with bolt rifles and big bounties on their heads during the fiercest combat of the war from 1967 through the desperate Tet battle for Hue in early 1968. There are several personal accounts of missions to include Chu Lai, An Hoa, Noi Island, and Antenna Valley.  The 5th Marine Regiment had the most kills of any sniper unit in the Vietnam War. They also had the highest kill ratio. They were the very best at what they did!
Book is HARDBACK with DUSTJACKET published in 2003. It is in NEAR MINT CONDITION, measures 5 5/8" x 8 1/2" and contains 272 pages with 8 pages og photographs.
