*NEW* This is a paper pattern for "Strawman" by Sharon Mitchell.
Materials:
Cotton fabric, Raffia, wire armature, polyester stuffing
This is a pattern only, not a finished product.
The Story: Strawman at first scared away the crows, before an older one realized he was a straw man, causing the other crows to start eating the corn. The old crow then told the Scarecrow of the importance of brains. The Strawman forgot he was only two days old anyhow! The "mindless" Scarecrow begins his quest to ‘Follow the Yellow Brick Road’ in search of a brain!
Strawman is 19 inches, (48 cm) tall and stands alone, holding the scythe.
Intermediate to advanced skills are required to make this pattern of 30 pages, which has many photos and diagrams that will take you step by step through the process of making this art doll.
This doll is interesting because of the shape of his head and all that goes into making his expression.
